Adult Ballet Class
It's never too late to learn ballet. Adult ballet offers a fun way to tone and strengthen your body while learning the fundamental techniques of ballet. Whether you are a ballroom dancer or not, ballet will help align your body into beautiful posture while improving your grace, flexibility and musicality.
Attire: clothing comfortable enough to move in but not too loose, ballet shoes.
This class is being taught by Chery Lambert, who has been teaching ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance in Central Illinois for over 25 years. The class will be offered on Saturday mornings, beginning September 13th, from 10-11 a.m. Please note: There will not be ballet Saturday, October 18th due to a prior commitment. The make-up lesson will be held November 22nd.
Tuition for this course will be $120 for 10 weeks, cash or check only please. This class does offer a pay-as-you-go option of $15 per class.

Parke Hotel Dances
The Parke Hotel, at the corner of Towanda-Barnes Rd. and GE Rd., is hosting some Friday evening dances. Dancing will be available from 7-11 p.m. on the following dates: September 5, September 19, October 3, October 17, November 7 and November 21. There's a DJ with a good mix of music and a cash bar available. We've been notified that beginning in September the Parke will be offering a buffet dinner in addition to dancing. The buffet will be served from 5:30-8 p.m. and will cost $15.95 per person.
With the purchase of the buffet, admission to the dance will be free. Admission to the dance-only portion will be $7.00 per person.
Miller Park Dances
Typically the first Sunday of the month, Cathy Hempstead hosts a dance at the Miller Park Pavilion. Dance to recorded music from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for $7 per person. **Please note the different time.
Lafayette Club Dances
Typically, the 2nd & 4th Fridays from 8 p.m.-midnight, there is a dance at the Lafayette Club in Bloomington. Though at one time a "Singles Dance" Opportunity, the Lafayette Club dances are available to all dancers and feature a wide selection of music. Duke Babb DJs and there are sometimes "theme" dances. $10 per person.
